PENELOPE STUTTERHEIME

18 FEBRUARY - 4 MARCH

Everard Read, Cape Town, is exhibiting a series of new works by Penelope Stutterheime.

Please join us at 18:30 on Thursday 18th February.

The exhibition concludes on the 4th March.

Stutterheime´s latest paintings make use of her typical impasto application of oil paint. Their thick and haptic quality reveal, in their colourful layers, an exploration of the subconscious using fluid symbols and forms, to which viewers respond emotionally & experientially.

Stutterheime was born in 1958 in Cape Town, South Africa. She is largely self-taught and has been painting for 30 years. She has participated in various group exhibitions and sold through private galleries.
