FLORIAN WOZNIAK
POINT OF VIEW
5TH - 19TH NOVEMBER
The sculptures in ‘Point of View’ show the spirit of an experienced and earnest sculptor, as he has discovered and worked with determined and unselfconscious imagination. The traces of these workings are clearly visible in these elegant, spare pieces. They tell us that there is real life to be seen here, and that there was real life in their making. In the changes from a Classical mode to a more Hellenistic one, from static to looser forms, and from ideal renderings to more textured ones, there is evidence of Wozniak’s maturing as an artist. In each figure we find sensitivity, truth and power.
